Storybook #1
Chronicles of Hades: Adventures in the Underworld
Storybook #2
Letters to the Sky: Dear Sun, Sincerely Moon
This storybook starts off with a short creative story for the introduction, which is a different approach than the Hades website. I'm not sure if the intro is all original, or if it's referencing a certain myth, but it's a fun and attention grabbing first story. There's a "interstellar mail room" which is a cool name and concept. The topic of this storybook seems pretty unique. My understanding is that different cultures have different legends about the moon and sun and the author is retelling these various legends through letters. Last semester, I wrote my Indian Epics storybook through letters, so I also love that idea!
Storybook #3
The Truth Behind the Pyramids
My dad loves watching things about Egyptian Pyramids, so I wanted to check out this storybook. I've also seen my fair share of Ancient Aliens and they always talk about the origin of the pyramids and the mystery surrounding their construction. I like how the author wants to examine conspiracy theories for the project! I think this is a great idea, and I would love to read more about the pyramids. The introduction is a collection of facts and background about the pyramids. There's so much information to cover, but I think the author does a good job of making the reader question the building of the pyramids, which sets up their stories nicely. Overall, I love the topic and intro of this storybook!
Note: I can't find a good way to format pictures so the placement is weird looking.
